After a long slumber, the Dawson County Democratic Party has reorganized in 2022! Our goal is to support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot with a focus on getting local candidates to run for office in Dawson County.
We are passionate about issues that affect us all, like access to great and affordable healthcare for everyone and keeping rural hospital districts like ours operating so that our community can actually receive healthcare. We want great schools. We want a solution to ever-rising property taxes. We want to see strong farm bills that prioritize agriculture and recognize its importance to our national security, and there’s so many other issues that we’re passionate about.
We’re the party of Barbara Jordan, a fierce fighter for human dignity no matter the color of your skin or your zip code. We’re the party of Charles Stenholm, who used his time in Congress to promote and safeguard American agriculture and make American-grown cotton a priority in farm legislation. We’re the party of Beto O’Rourke, who is passionate about his mission to prepare our state to lead again by fixing the damn grid, focusing on the needs of rural Texas, reducing gun violence, and creating world-class schools.
