Voting for Spanish Speakers

Federal and state laws mandate that all election materials be available in both English and Spanish statewide. In addition, in voting districts with greater than 5% of persons of “Spanish origin or descent,” bilingual election clerks must be appointed. Dawson County falls into greater than 5%, which means that there will be at least one election clerk at each polling location that can assist Spanish-speaking voters.
